Making Learning Fun
- Our flashcards provide an effective alternative to the more traditional and less effective textbook approach to learning. With flashcards the reader can focus on key points, important dates, and get an overall summary of the person or event being studied. In the end making the learning experience less overwhelming, and allowing for information to be easier to digest.
Portable
- Because our flashcards are relatively small in size it makes it extremely simple for them to be carried to school, home, the office, or on a road trip.
Improve Memory
- Scientific research has shown flashcards to be an extremely effective way to improve memory and make information easier to retain. The two facets of memory most improved by using flashcards include:
a. Active Recall: Looking at the frontside of a flashcard and thinking of the answer (remembering the concept from scratch).
b. Confidence Based Learning: If you're struggling with a particular concept or flashcard, you'll keep returning it to your stack so you can see it enough times to remember it.
Multiple Applications
Flashcards can be used in a multitude of ways including:
1. Individual Study- readers can learn on their own, on their own time, and at their own pace.
2. Partners or Group- students can pair with a partner or form a group to take turns reading the flashcards aloud and quizzing one another, making learning more engaging, interactive, and fun.
3. In the Home- parents and grandparents can routinely use our flashcards with children in the home, fostering meaningful dialogue in the process.
4. Teaching Made Easy- teachers, tutors, homeschoolers, and educators can effortlessly implement our flashcards into an existing lesson plan. The flashcards will fit right in with any Hispanic, Latinx, and Chicanx themed portions of a curriculum, and are excellent study guides for quizzes and tests.
